THE CAUSE

A.S. STAR TEAM FOR CHILDREN was created in 1993 by H.S.H. PRINCE ALBERT II of MONACO and Arch. Mauro SERRA as a charity based on the idea to involve children in sport, to encourage young talent and to collect funds for disadvantaged children with the help of all the popular sports and business personalities living in Monte Carlo. Up to date 5 world ski star events have been organized, all in famous ski resorts like Alta Badia, Sestriere and Samnaun. Several Millions of Euros have been donated. Bansko will be the the 6th event of this kind, supporting this noble charity cause.

STAR TEAM FOR THE CHILDREN

Prince Albert's idea is actively supported  by many sport celebrities from different disciplines. Many famous sports champions helped collecting funds for the ASST foundation over the years. We will see the following stars of motorsports, athletics, alpine ski and biathlon between the 27th and 29th of January in Bansko:

OFFICIAL EVENT SCHEDULE

Apart from the traditional Parallel slalom, the Bansko event will picture one novelty - the World Star Ski Team for Children will compete in biathlon. To enjoy these celebrities skiing and shooting rifles on the biathlon range, please follow the schedule on January 28, 2012, Saturday (all EET):

10.30 – Start of ski race – Parallel slalom, Banderishka Polyana in Bansko ski area
12.00 – Cocktail, Banderishka polyana in Bansko ski area
15.00 – Start of race – Biathlon, Banderishka polyana in Bansko ski area
16.00 – Awards ceremony, Banderishka polyana in Bansko ski area
23.00 – Party at Happy Еnd Après-Ski Bar

Package price for participation: BGN 235 per person. Complimentary lift pass for the skiers is included. Accommodation at 4 stars hotels on preferential rates available, subject to extra payment. Please submit your request together with your confirmation for the Event attendance..
