The Council of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) confirmed today at its meeting the calendar of World Cup starts in all disciplines for the 2025/2026 season.
In snowboarding, Bansko will host 2 starts for the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup. They will be held on January 17th and 18th, 2026 and will be the last ones that will be valid for winning quotas for the Olympics in Milan and Cortina.
In the 2025 starts in Bansko Radoslav Yankov took third place, and the new Bulgarian snowboards star Tervel Zamfirov ranked 4th in the World Cup for the first time. At the end of 2024/25 season he became the first Bulgarian world champion in snowboarding.
